With infantry programming tapering off, and the focus switching slowly to space, our artists have turned their attention to levels. We're proud to come back after those somewhat embarrassing screenshots last week. This week we have quite a few, and I think you will all agree with me, es_frigate has come a long way. I wish I could have posted a few shots of es_sheldon, but it needs more work, though OmegaSlayer is doing a great job on it. Enjoy, and the great news should keep coming. Our flight physics model, programmed by john_sheu is looking pretty good and we are now ripping out pretty much all the old vehicle code and starting from scratch. I think it will yield awesome results.
These are just 3 of the 7 posted in our gallery, definitely worth taking a look.
I'd also like to congratulate Dete for getting a job at DICE. He has been a great asset to the team, and continues to be, all the best to him.
I hope you are all having a great week, we'll keep working hard to bring you new media, and space screenshots as soon as they come out, can't be long now ;).

P.S. I know I say it every update, but honestly... We absolutely love to see ModDB members on our Website and posting in our Forums... You guys are what keeps us working hard!

Lookin' good, guys! :D
Low Rez textures on the maps?
doesnt make sense when the guns are so good.
It's like Half Life 2 and Half Life 1 in the same picture....
X-play? in the third pic, the comments, someones named x-play. Probably just a beta testers but I was wondering, is that x-play as in the show?
actually thats x-ray, a team member
Mr.Kadish: Well, part of it is that we have to make every single texture you see (down to the little grates and pipes... Heck, even lights :( )
We usually just do a rough draw-up of the texture, put in a pretty decent version to make sure it fits the style (that is what some of those textures are using... a low res version of the final that is used to make sure everything looks good before spending the time to make it high-res)
Thanks for all the comments guys! :)
I know the feeling mate!
Im heading off a total conversion as well, and the number of textures I've had to make must be in the many hundreds by now.
:D
Your explanation makes sense.
