Episode 1 Finished,
Launch Trailer
I'm pleased to announce, after a rather hectic day of tidying up the build, that Episode 1 of Post Script is complete! It's with various reviewers at the moment, and will be released publically on 18th December. That's just a week away!
My team of beta testers did me proud. So many problems, so many glaringly obvious quirks and issues that I just wouldn't have spotted myself, having got so close to the project. Watching my girlfriend play through and literally stare at the solution to one puzzle for about five minutes before walking away was painful - but enormously helpful. I've spent the past week cleaning the thing up, adding bits and bats, changing a couple of bits and eradicating all the bugs we could find.
I'm pleased with it, I think. It's hard to tell, sometimes. I at least think it's interesting, and the response from the beta test was largely positive. People's play time is fascinating - the shortest was five minutes, the longest over half an hour. And people's interpretations of the story so far are so varied and so brilliant that I almost feel like re-writing the whole thing... but no. Man. It's done.
And it's just one week away.
And here's the launch trailer.
cl_showcrosshair 0, ruins the trailer atmosphere with them there.
crosshair ++
Looks nice, just get rid of that crosshair.
Darn you for making us wait when it's done. That's just teasing right there.
lol crosshair
crosshair :DDD anyway, looks good
RE: crosshair - I didn't remove it because, well, it's in-game footage. Same reason I didn't toy about with cinematic camera angles. Didn't really see the need. Hopefully those who wanted a more cinematic trailer aren't put off too much. :-)
you should really learn to use smooth and record demos
