Edain 4.5: The Hobbit Campaign news

As you might have noticed, we are currently working on a new campaign and for those who haven't seen it yet, here is the campaign intro:

This campaign follows the story of the Hobbit. It improves on the mission map from 3.8.1 where you could lead Bilbo Baggins through the events of An Unexpected Journey.

This means that in this new campaign, you will be able to relive Bilbo's journey from the Shire to the Lonely Mountain and the Battle of the Five Armies and share in his adventures. Our plan is to offer a plethora of diverse and unique missions. They will vary quite a lot in many different aspects, including the structur of the missions and how you achieve victory. At certain occasions, you won't be fighting at all (or the fighting will be negligible). The only thing all missions have in common is that you won't have to build units or buildings in any of them. But enough of the spoilers for now.

As you can see, we haven't finished this campaign yet and are actually in the very process of creating it. So unfortunately we can't tell you when and if the campaign will be finished. But to make up for the long wait for 4.5 and as a small Thank You for sticking around, we decided to add two missions as a demo already. We picked missions without too much fighting and that use neither the spellbook nor any of the normal ability sets of the campaign heroes.
Both missions have a combined total of three playable heroes and two enemies that can be killed - but a whopping 89 other characters that you can interact with one way or another.
