Dream Casters’ Duel returns! I've since made an engine change; DCD will now employ the UT2k4 engine! Said engine has proven to provide excellent cell shading results à la XIII. Unreal also provides an abundance of learning materials for use with their engine. This has been of primary importance as DCD is a one-man mod and I've had to learn how to map and create the following in record time!

These maps reflect the premise that DCD is set in the dream worlds of four very different characters. While they are still WIPs, I hope you'll agree they already evince DCD's originality and "make something fun" ethos! For more map images, visit the gallery. Also visit Dcdthegame.com. Thnx for your support!

Thnx for the compliments and encouragement! It's what keeps me hard at work. :) ION, I've recently been reassured by one of the content managers that a DCD interview I'd given a few months ago will soon post!

Kiyoko's Map: The pinball map hasn't changed since it was first featured as a static mesh in a previous news post. This is what it what it will look like in-game.
MJK's Map: The original concept has been ditched in favor of a mad house in a mad, mad, map where much is slightly askew. It features a topsy-turvy interior, a graveyard, and catacombs.
Mina's Map: It's been completed an astonishing three times, only to be scrapped each time. While the finalized map will probably bear little resemblance, the second attempt has been pictured here for continuity's sake.
Marrish's Map: The re-design of Marrish's map originally featured a heavy-industrial warehouse. The screenshots probably would have featured a long, narrow corridor with exposed pipes and cables, and a file cabinet or corkboard or something. Maybe even a vending machine or whatever. Instead, it is a decaying clock tower, suspended by the mind's-eye in mid-air and orbited by it's own refuse! As a king-of-the-hill styled objective map, characters will have to battle each other to the top. Players will need to climb the ladders, take the lifts, or warily traverse the orbiting debris!

ya got a gud look for your mod and you did a good job on the maps. It's good to see some mapwork and most of it fits in with your character designs.
