As competition between video game engines continues to intensify, so do the benefits for developers using these tools. Epic Games have just partnered up with the 2017 EGX Rezzed Expo hosts, to offer double booth space and a create a section dedicated to games "Powered by Unreal". Developers who sign up on a first come first served basis, to exhibit at EGX Rezzed in this new area will have their expo footprint doubled at no additional cost courtesy of Epic.
“Unreal Engine is the perfect partner for EGX Rezzed,” commented Matt Styles, Event Director of EGX Rezzed. “We’re really proud of the show’s track record in helping indies find success, and working with Epic is a marvellous new way for us to highlight upcoming releases.”
This follows the announcement early last year of a $5million Unreal Dev Grant funding program, and is more great news for developers looking to breakout and have their game shine. 2017’s show is the biggest yet, opening the London Games Festival with a keynote speech given by Irrational Games’ Ken Levine, who is best known for the Unreal-powered BioShock blockbuster franchise.
