Post news RSS Doom Again V1 Overpower! Release

So, i was playing some Doom mods, and i wanted to add some damage to all the weapons of my mod. The result, is an overpowered version, great for maps with a lot of monsters like Sunder or Maps of Chaos. Is all the same as the original V1 version, just load the zip file with gzdoom and any map you like.

Everything is like V1, but you do a lot more damage. I recommend playing it on maps with lots of monsters.

A video of the Overpower! version:

Please read: I´ve founded a bug with the las version of GZDoom "gzdoom-g2.1.pre-1778-g1a63167", some physics just go crazy, play with previous versions.

You actually don't need to add damage to all weapons, you can decrease the HP on the monsters too, It was long ago I played doom, I actually played cs doom with TNT-evilution maps.. but I will have your little mod in mind next time I decide to play deus vult II cuz I really think I will need a little boost haha.

From where does the GUI come from? ammo, hp and armor bars? they look like doom4 stuff and that's sooooo cool B)

That is a addon for brutal doom. No idea if he had put that into his mod or he is using it as a simple addon.

Its called Ultimate Doom Visor, here´s a link to it: Moddb.com.

The monsters HP have been alredy altered on V1, for example zombieman´s health is the same, but revenant´s not.

Thanks for trying it out :)

Oh just a little advice: If at any time you run short of maps to play, try oblige, is an automatic level generator, you can make pretty awesome slaughter maps with it (http://oblige.sourceforge.net/).
