We've been working on the game of late. Adding and testing new models to the game. The new model will include objects that designate external hard points with lettering and numbers. Allowing easier integration into the game.I've added a first draft of torpedoes into game, the exhaust needs some work but it looks good. Torpedoes are slower than missiles, can't turn well, but they are well protected against point defense systems, and yes they pack quite a punch, capable of taking out a frigate with a single strike.
Ship captains have been added to the game. they have a set of skills that affect the ship behavior and they can level up. The player has his own Avatar Captain that can level up.
The plan is to multiple voices and profile images for the captains.
The idea is that captains can be hired for a fee. We've not yet decided if there will be a one time fee or a monthly one...
Looks like Homeworld 2 but with customization of sorts.
Well, yes. But its so much more, If you haven't seen these two videos please check them out. It show more of the general gameplay.
i think the lasers could use an overhaul to make them look more intense, these just don't look like they would do much damage.
Yes, I've been working on adding particle effects to the lasers, making them look kinda more solid and intense, kind of energy flowing in them.
Its a work in progress. Maybe I'll reserve that for the largest of lasers.
