Greetings Comrades! The weeks since our latest update have been slow due to what we refer to as Real Life. But not dead slow... let's not waste any more time, and head forward to the interesting stuff!

This time we've mostly got some air related stuff to show off. One of them is the mighty scavenger YAK-24L "locust" heavy duty helicopter that will transport your troops and light vehicles into the battlefield, or even support them from the air.We start off with the standard infantry transport version.

YAK-24L

But you can do more than just transport your men. With the bunker upgrade, you can turn this giant insect into a flying fortress that allows your infantry fire out to support your ground forces and strike fear into your enemies! But watch out for enemy anti-air fire, as its armor may not last that long against a bunch of autocannons.

And finally we present the sky crane version that can carry your vehicles to places your enemy will never expect to find them!

Now for some allied eye candy. The allied air field will produce and maintain aircraft that bring extraordinary firepower to the battlefield.

Well given there's an F-18 on the runway of the Allied Airstrip I'd say so! ^_^

Good work on the Airfield. I like how you included a classic RA radar dome on the structure. Little things like that is what makes us fans rejoice.

Regarding the Locust: the unit in-game concept is great, but, in my opinion, even though the YAK-24 is actually a Soviet chopper, it looks too similar to the Allied Chinook (altought I must admit that, in the RA universe canon, the Soviets did use Chinook-styled choppers).

I think the cancelled Mil V-12 ( En.wikipedia.org ) or Kamov Ka-22 ( 3.bp.blogspot.com ) would allow for a lot more distinctive designs, while keeping (especially the Ka-22) an "old, reused stuff" feeling for the Scavengers.

I understand though that 3d models don't just come up from thin air, but rather need hard work and dedication, so just take this as a friendly comment and not like a demand, bad feedback, disapproval or anything. You guys are doing great and I can't wait to have this Mod in my hands!

thank you for you comment and suggestion i by mistake hited the minus button instead of the + =\ will be great if some will fix it with a plus :D

any ways as for the suggestion the reason that we used the yak is exactly what you said because its true to the cnc canon and it always was a Chinook like heli but to tell you the truth we did considered using a modified MIL version at some point but decided not to. to stay true with the canon

off curse as you know the models that showed in the dev blog my change on there way to the final stages :)

Mod looks great, can't wait to give it a go, and I see there's an F/A-18 Hornet on the runway which to me means the mod is set in the early mid-80's

I thought WW2 happened when Stalin invaded Europe in RA? ;)

And I can't wait to see the 'Scavengers' in action. ^_^
