Hello Everyone!
This is our 5th weekly Delicious Devlog, updated every Tuesday!
Today, we present to you our progress on the initial prototype version of our game, including some mechanics like the playable character looking towards the direction of the cursor and spawning the random items that will come through the ramp for the player to sort and also a look at the customers' concept art!
Prototype
In our last Delicious Devlog (click the link to check it out!), we presented the level blockout and grab mechanic we worked on for our prototype. This time around, we have a bit of our work on other mechanics such as the playable character looking towards the cursor, so as to select and grab the objects in front of it.
We are planning on adding a highlight to the item the player hovers over so that you can see the item you're going to pick up, which should also be helpful for our controller players.
Another core mechanic of our game is the random items being dropped to the player when you pull the lever. To start that off, we have made different items spawn randomly, with the next step being to tie this to the lever the player will control.
The lever pull mechanic is still being worked on, but for now we know that everytime the mechanic is activated, a random set of items from a selected pool will show up.
Customers
Besides the playable character, we have also started working on the design of the customers, starting by doing some initial concepts for possible different solutions for their look, focusing on giving them a fun and young look for being a candy loving kid and to also fit the general look of the candy store and the game in general. Let us know what you think of these designs!
We want to choose a good design that will look good from both front and behind! These candy craving customers gotta look their best for this game!
And that's a wrap!
With this, we end our Delicious Devlog for today! We hope you enjoy our progress!
Join us next Tuesday to know more about what we're working on and let us know your opinions and suggestions, we'd love to hear your feedback! Check out our previous Delicious Devlogs HERE!

Thank you so much!
You come very well with the game, I like the environment where the character moves, if you still do not have music or sounds I can take care of the soundtrack and sound design, greetings.
