Welcome to the mid-December Road To The Future!

We hope that you all are as excited as we are this month. There are definitely some neat things going on behind the scenes right now that we may get to reveal to you later on. For the moment, however, we have some great media to showcase.

The development team is still in need of all positions. If you have skills in these areas and are willing to dedicate your time to the mod, please click here to sign up.

Last month we told you that Eero started skinning the new paratrooper model. In fact, you may remember it as a teaser picture of the boots. Eero has finally given us permission to show off the entire model under the condition that we inform the public it is still a WIP.

Stefan has recently been working on a sweet new model that will be showcased in another one of his secret maps. He wouldn't let us show you the map, but we managed to get our hands on a picture of the rendered model.

Now for the RTTF Q and A's.

1. Are there any plans to make it possible to capture objectives no matter how many people are on a server?

The Beta has already implemented a system that makes the capture requirement variable. The team that has the most soldiers at an objective will be able to capture it.

2. Are there any plans to "nerf" the axis in some way?

Balancing teams is an important aspect to creating a successful game. Any overpowering strengths that either team might of had, except that of axis being in a defensive position, have been resolved.

3. Will there be a possibility for mappers to raise or lower the population caps for each team based on advantages/historical accuracy?

There is nothing setup to limit the number of people on a team. If you are intending on restricting a team in numbers, you can lower their initial ticket count.

4. How many maps total with be in the beta release?

An exact number cannot be set, but there will at least be as many the current number of official maps.

5. Will TrackIR be implemented into the game?

There are no plans to implement TrackIR.

If you have any questions that you would like featured in the next RTTF, PM the Public Relations department (Hunnicutt or Murphy). We will do our best to get your questions answered.

Due to the coming holidays, some of the developers will be going away for a while (Including the PR team). This means that we cannot promise you an update January 1st. The PR team will do our best to get the update out, but worst case scenario we will see you all again on the 15th of January for the monthly Road to the Future.

Great update guys! The models not looking too bad at all. I just notice the face and hands could use a bit of work. The texturing is great, as expected from such a high quality mod. The train looks great as well, too bad we don't get to see the rest of the map ;D.

I'd still love to see hand signals in this game to replace needing to yell commands to your squad during close encounters. I believe I posted that quite a few times in the suggestions area on your site before the flaming got old and I stop posting there.

Got a whole line-up of people waiting on this beta release, so take your time so you can get that WOW factor from what will soon be your great community.

Um any plans to make low poly versions of the models?

I hate how i can get the game to play at such a varity of fps that it gets on my nervs i can't put the settings down to get something close to contant
I know having fps advantages are un fair but when my pc runs 2 fps faster then some one running a pc that has 1/8 of the power of mine i get alittle mad

Plz give us more varity in the Detail section And for the love of god those bushes in Ste mare eglise do not need to have more then 25 polys Theres alot of em, And vary em.
Just cause it's the same model over and over those not mean we'll get a performance boost.
I would post it on the forums but i know if i make a account il forget to go back.

Nice modelling and texturing. It looks like the hands could do with a little more work though - what's the distinct shadow around the face?

Keep up the good work guys.

The Para trooper model is fine, but it's the face that bothers me.

Remember, Eero distinctly said it was a WIP. ;]

Just remember guys, Eero stressed that the model is a 'WORK IN PROGRESS'

therefore, it's not complete. So don't worry about the face, and hands. I'm sure that will be worked on.

This modification has such huge potential, and I'm very proud to be contributing towards the mod. I have no doubt that this mod will go big after the beta is released.
