Post news Report RSS DCG v5.0 Released!

DCG v5.0 has been released for original Men of War, Assault Squad 2, and Call to Arms. DCG v5.0 has been released for original Men of War, Assault Squad 2, and Call to Arms. Note that because the latter two games are still being patched regularly by the developer, you may need to edit the patch version setting in the "mod.info" file using a text editor if the mod fails to activate (see readme for details).

Most of the changes to the program have to do with removing the dependency on XNA and J# installs, which should simplify setup. Please check the readme and setup files for details.

This version also includes many new maps and a few new vehicles in the release for original Men of War, including a Spitfire!

Changelog:

Version 5.0 ~ January 1, 2017
- Removed requirements for J# and XNA installs
- Requires .NET Framework 4.5
- Timed attack missions add more time for player to complete objectives on larger maps
- Objective pointer entity customizable in settings.xml
- Some minor bug fixes

- Additional Zeke Wolff vehicle:
Spitfire
Breda 20/65
AS 42 with Breda 20/65
- Additional map by Zeke Wolff (Maki_59)
- Additional map by Zeke Wolff (Maki_82)
- Additional map by Zeke Wolff (Maki_83)
- Additional map by Zeke Wolff (Maki_63)
- Additional map by NilsTheRed (juno_beach)
- Additional map by NilsTheRed (schnielder_road)

Repeat from previous post - a friendly reminder: Zeke, Ngvede and others on the team have put many hours into the vehicles, skins, and other content. Please do not re-use the content without giving credit (and please ask their permission, too). We see too many cases where someone uses their models without credit and then another mod, which would have given credit if they had known, re-uses those models without credit, too. Please help keep them motivated by making sure this doesn't happen!

From (2016-03-01) the DCG team no longer allow any other mod to use our work WITHOUT a written permission from us, and mods that uses our stuff, must have a proper credit list added. Mods that existed before this date, is allowed to use the work that has been released in earlier DCG´s, but all new models etc that is included in DCG4.5 (and future versions of DCG like DCG5.0) is affected by the above. The reason for this, is due to the fact that the new stuff we added in 4.5 is already appearing in other mods without us being credited for our work.

Thank you very much for your hard work.
What do you mean with "Objective pointer entity customizable in settings.xml"?

I do believe that means that instead of the default entity that points to objectives in-game you can replace it with your own if you so choose. However, I'm not qualified to ensure you of the validity of that.

Yeah, that's basically it - it was required for making a Call to Arms version.

Is there any way to add infantry units like AT or snipers for those comfortable with xml?
