After a small pause, we are back on track with the newest information about our progress.

I hope you are all enjoying 009 Beta release. We want to thank you for voting for us, and for your support.
It's also great to see 100 downloads of 009 Beta per day.

As usual, we are working constantly on balance, bug fixing, and adding new stuff. I am here to present you 3 new finished models.

- So, let's start. In order to bring as much as diversity as possible to generals, SW general got a new structure. Well, it's not so new, but its stats are different than other USA generals, and thus model is also changed.
It is Ion Plant structure.

RENDER

Ion Plant is cheaper than any other power plant in game, it is built much faster (those stats are still subject to change, so I won't write them in numbers). It gives SW general opportunity for rush, expand faster and take more control of the map. But, in order to balance it, you cannot upgrade System defense on it anymore, because player would attack with these structures. Also, it brings less power to you. So, you will need to make very large number of them to support your base. It has less health, and when destroyed, causes a small EMP explosion, shutting down all nearby tanks and structures for a few seconds. You cannot purchase more energy production on it like you could on other USA power plants. It has a nice rotating animation and awesome lighting effect. This is the new thing for SW general.

- Another update is for Cybernetic general. His old stealth patriot defense is replaced with new defenses. First one is Missile Defense System.

MISSILE RENDER

Missile Defense System is effective only vs. ground targets, and more specifically vs. tanks and vehicles. Deals small damage to infantry too. Fires 6 rockets instead of 4 like old Patriot and does not relay position of enemies to nearby Patriots anymore. But its firepower is slightly better than Patriot. It provides better defense vs. tanks and especially vs. ECM because it has a stronger secondary damage radius.

- And last structure, also for Cybernetic general, is Gatling Defense System

GATLING RENDER

It is perfect anti infantry and anti air defense. Not much to say about it, you get the picture.

All those Cybernetic defenses are currently built as a separate object, but with help from TheHunter in coding, they could actually be built as upgrade on one specific structure (node).

Challenge and Campaign are being worked on. More info on those is coming in the next updates.

Yes. It was started years ago, but ever since the majority of people left Contra, it's been going very slowly.

Will the Ion Reactor replace the regular Cold Fusion reactor for SW, or is it a separate building?

Will you add the small hd ui mod from rise of the reds? I tried to add it myself and it seemed to work but it created graphical glitches.

No. We use our own UI made to support 18 buttons. I think you should ask the UI creator to make his UI support Contra, which would be obtainable as an add-on instead.

@ThePredatorBG bro wanted to ask if you guys are willing to add russian generals.
BTW, airforce has really less defence unites if you guys please add one more to kill infantries :)

i have a problem when i enter the match as normal all buildings r purple and when i left click on the ground or on the map the game crash :(

These defense systems are like GDI defense systems from C&C Tiberium Sun. Did you get the idea from them?

I don't think SW General needs the little Ion Plant. Because the Super Weapon requires tremendous amount of power and takes a lot of space. If you build Ion Plant enough for few super weapons, it will have no space left for more. I would think in the other way around, less space for more power.

The problem is, that SW is very good defended general. All his defenses are better than your tanks. For example, grendel is stronger than any r1 tank, patriot is stronger than any helicopter or airplane. Ion tower is stronger than any arty or infantry. So, you need a lot of micro and lose many units to break SW defenses. All this gives SW general more exp than you can gather. So SW gets r3 faster, then you have absolutely no chance.

Small amount of power plants for all his defenses is good for SW (yes, i know that), because you can place it near Command Center, and move defenses outside of base. SO no one can turn your defenses off by destroying power plant, because you cant even get close to power plant. With this change, SW general builds Ion Plants everywhere, giving you chance to destroy it.

Once it gets r3, it will have Tokamak.

009 beta keeps crashing about 7 mins into any game (you have encountered a serious problem blah blah..), i am playing twighlight flame vs two insane gens though... do you think thats why? it cant cope with a massive game yet or is this useful feedback?or useless feedback as i should probrably buy a better pc haha... same game on 008 an i can complete maybe a full 1/2 hour game no problem?. never posted before, love what youre all doin thanks.
p/s. more start cash and the option to build the best defense structure from the start please (for the very stoned and tired times :)

IS THIS GAME TO MUCH FOCUSED ON ATTACK AND NOT TO MUCH ON DEFENCE BECOUSE IN THIS NEW MODS I SEE JUST ATTACK THINGS THAT YOU CANT DEFEND YOUR BASE AND THIS IS REALLY ANOYING IF YOU CANT DEFEND YOUR BASE THE GAME CAN FINISH WITH 1 ATTACK OR 15-30 MINUTES ??
