Bugs fixed:

- USA: Patriot missiles flew with wrong trajectory (Patriot was up, but missiles flew straight forward). Fixed.
- Cyber general: Spider Mech lost is veteranvy after teleportation. Fixed.
- Cyber general: Avenger caused game to crush. Fixed.
- China: If you capture Internet Center and research Hack 3 then Hack 3 activation button does not appear. Fixed. Activation button will appear for all China generals, but other factions will not be able to build this upgrade.
- Flame general: Helix bomb did not have incendiary weapon and thus, could not set fuel on fire. Fixed.
- GLA: Large missiles could damage aircrafts if exploded under them. Fixed.
- GLA: Terrorist bikers logic was fixed.
- Laser general: Satellite target designator description was corrected: it increases damage, not attack range.
- Infantry general: Gattling TC was larger that propaganda TC. Fixed.
- Infantry general: Red Arrows did not fire at aircrafts when they were stealth. Fixed.
- AI: Target priorities were fixed. AI will choose the most optimal target now.
- AI: I wrote a program which checks errors in AI. It found 128 errors. I'm amazed. How could AI work before?
- AI: All links to not existing units were deleted.
- AI: All links to not existing buttons were deleted.
- AI: All links to not existing scripts were deleted.

Balance changes:

- All: AA defenses don't attack cruise missiles now. They can be shot down by SLID, MTHEL and Laser general defense turret only.
- All: All defenses take 30% more damage from infantry missiles.
- USA: Patriot requires war Factory or Airfield. It will prevent Patriot rush. But this change is under question. USA can become too weak in the beginning. Testing is needed.
- USA: Aurora invulnerability lasted for 2 seconds after a bomb was droped. This invulnerability prolongation was lowered from 2 seconds to 1.5 seconds.
- AF general: Comanche Rocket Pods have +25% bonus against buildings now.
- AF general: MCV moves 12% faster.
- AF general: Avenger machinegun was weakened 2 times. Anti aircraft weapon was not changed.
- SW general: Energy shields limit was lowered: no more than 5 now (was no more than 10).
- Cyber general: Cyborgs move slower, but have more health. (I remind you, that there is Exosceletons upgrade, which increases their speed).
- Nuke general: Irradiator became slightly weaker against vehicles, but remained powerful against infantry.
- Flame general: King of Fire reload time was increased from 2:30 to 3:00
- Infantry general: Command Center is not garrisonable now. (The limit was removed from all Command Centers and I don't want players to use it as a bunker.)
- Stealth general: Gun buggy cost was increased from 400 to 500.

Other changes:

- All: Super units are marked with small crosses on minimap (like heroes).
- AF general: The number of soldiers dropped by Spartan increases depending of Spartsn veteranvy.
- AF general: I returned old weapon to F-35 and moved EMP bomb to F-16. F-16 will not attack from long range any more. Artillery role will be carried out by a new helicopter (it is not finished yet).
- AF general: Dark Star has not fake units destruction ability any more.
- AF general: Combat Chinook was moved from Supply Center to Airfield.
- AF general: Combat Chinook can not gather resources any more. (It will solve the problem with rally points: Combat Chinook started to gather resources automatically and did not move to rally point).
- Cyber general: Graphic effects for Spider Mech, Fafnir, Robo Raotor, Cyborg Commando, Stormtrooper, Avenger and Burton weapons were redrawn.
- Cyber general: New rank 5 general's power: Medusa Drop. It spawns Medusa drones.
- China: We started to remake Chinese replics. All China units will speak Chinese.
- Tank general: He will not have problems with nuke tank hunters any more. J-10 with napalm missiles is available at rank 1.
- GLA: All RPG bikers fire 3 missiles at once and reload for a long time. Their overall firepower and attack range remained as it was. This change allows to use bikers for hit-&-run tactics.
- GLA: Demo traps and AT mines are immune to all armor piercong weapons mow (shells and missiles).
- Assault general: Desert Cruiser replaced with Karkadann (you saw the model).
- Demo general: Nuclear bomb Truck explosion was remade. If you destroy it, it explodes with a power of nuke cannon shell. But if you detonate it by a button, it explodes with a power of a nuclear missile.
- China boss general was remade (but boss general map was not fixed yet).
- GLA boss general was added (but challenge map with him was not made yet).

Maps:

- New multiplayer maps added: "TC-5" and "Arctic Battle"

So now all the Chinese units will speak Chinese? Or they will speak English with Chinese assent?

How about adding an armor upgrade for the Aurora or maybe a laser defence point Upgrade PLzzzzzzzzzzzzz!!!!
BTW shall GLA units speak Arabic?!?!?

u should add black hawk and make it easier 2 get strategy center because it pain in *** 2 level up 2 lvl 4 2 be able 2 build everything with AF general as most units unlock round lvl 3.

Don't you think kamikazees should be limited? and infantry generals damage reduced with buildings? or increase usa microwave tank range/damage increase. I just thought infantry general is too strong. We even banned it with multiplayer. TG of 5 minigunner and 5 tankhunter in early game on a tournament map is deadly! Don't you think libra of laser needs more armor to compensate for its speed and less damage?

Ok now, I've read all of the Contra 008 changes and I have got to this page. When it says...

- AI: Target priorities were fixed. AI will choose the most optimal target now.
- AI: I wrote a programm which checks errors in AI. It found 128 errors. I'm amazed. How could AI work before?
- AI: All links to not existing units were deleted.
- AI: All links to not existing buttons were deleted.
- AI: All links to not existing scripts were deleted.

Is that what is causing my crappy GLA AI?

Because no one has said anything about a dodgy AI in the other posts.
On my game the GLA AI trains a few workers but nothing else.

Please answer my question...

(PS: all other AI works, just the GLA sides)

i am playing contra 007, I played the challenge using Laser General and I am currently stuck with toxin General. I am having trouble with their gas cloud colored violet and gray, I dont know how to stop it it seems the medic humvee can't stop it. :(

ctrl key is good for combined units. But with specified keys for specified units would be better for fast transition of attack and defense. like see saw of tanks, infantry and air units ;)without having trouble to make a ctrl key fast.

Tank General is so powerful when it riches rank three and so on. that is against gla except explosive and usa except AF....

ztz sniper tank of tank general is not in the tech tree. And we conclude tank general is strong. and we agreed tank general is also banned!

The Nuke General NEEDS some base defences adding!

If the games Factions are ever going to be even close to balanced, the Nuke General must have a way to defend them self.

Suggestions:
- Bunker
- (Bunker with Mini Nuke launcher Attached Possible Upgrade for Bunker)
- Mini Nuke Turret
- Radiation Sprayer
- Mini Nuke Mines/Trap
- Gatling Cannon
- Nuke Firing Artillery
- Fallout Shelter (links across map like tunnel network)
- Nuclear Bunker (Would Work like the Poison General Chemical Bunker)

nuke is already strong, they can defend themselves from the start with nuke tank hunters and red arrows. What nuke needs is to remove nuke storm!!!

I agree that the Nuke general is very strong...in the later stages of the game. My point is that the nuke forces should have at least a bunker if nothing else as it is near impossible to actually GET to that point in the first place.

This mod is good, but playing it over and over one player will come to realize that it is a mod designed best for the Chinese faction or just a miss observation of balance. Please double check tech trees and actual game. THANKS

I definately agree that China is the strongest side. I was just suggesting that they put in a bunker or something like a bunker... I see your point. Thanks for sharing. Just thought that the idea of those structures I suggested seemed cool. Do you think they sound good... if balancing weren't an issue?

every suggestion to make this mod very good and nice is cool. I just can't find enjoyment with the new games came out, like cnc4 and starcraft 2. something is lacking.... Thus I'm still enjoying old school games like zero hour ^^ More Power Mod makers !!! Just keep the balancing it will make this mod one hell of a mod.... Classic...

WE DISCOVERED A BUG, THE GLA EXPLOSIVE GENERAL'S DEMO TRAP, THE 3 PCS SYNCHRO BUILD, WHEN EXPLODES CAUSES A MOMENTARY LAG OR SLOW MOTION.

Yes I know what you mean by the great classics. I think that EA got lucky to produce such a good game as Command and Conquer Generals. They just lack that RTS creating ability that Westwood had. (Sigh) And don't get me started on C&C4! LOL

c&c 4 wasn't a bad idea. The theory itself was really very cool. The blunder that EA made was calling it a c&c game because while it is the same universe, c&c is RTS, not real time tactical or FPS like renegade.
All were cool ideas, but should not have been commercially marketed as c&c games because you're advertising to the wrong customer.
