We thought hard about how we could help a charity this year. With the recent events like the Humble Indie Bundle, and various other sales, contributions, and so on from Indie and AAA companies. We wanted to help too!
So I spoke to Mariusz, the very talented musician for Conquest: Hadrian's Divide. I asked him to prepare a Christmas-themed variation of the game's main theme. You can listen to that track below. But we have something to ask from you!
Please, pretty please. Could you head over to our website (Conquesthd.com) and purchase the track through the provided PayPal service. Once you have paid for the track, you can share it with friends; do whatever you like with it! It's really not the song that matters. We want to donate as much as possible to Child's Play. With your help, we can hopefully make those less fortunate than us.
100% of all of the money received will be donated to Child's Play on New Years Day. At that time, the offer will expire. So act fast! We don't receive a penny from this!
As promised, here is the YouTube video:
Please thumb it up, post a comment, share the url or embed it somewhere!
You should also spread the word via the provided Facebook, Twitter and Digg buttons on the website!
Nice theme, but is it just me or is the sound quality low? :S
If you listening to it through YouTube it may be low quality. If you bought the download it should be HQ. If you have any issues, let me know and we'll sort it out.
Oh I was just previewing the youtube one. I MIGHT buy it... but I already gave to charity.
Why does this game use the same 'Conquest' title than Star Wars Conquest? Find another one....
Conquest is infact a word in the English Dictionary:
"1. The act or process of conquering, or acquiring by force; the act of overcoming or subduing opposition by force, whether physical or moral; subjection; subjugation; victory."
Therefore just because one company happens to use the word in their game, there is no reason as to why we cannot. They did not trademark the name/term.
Hope this doesn't come across as horrible, but I don't see any problem with using the English Language. ;)
Yes, it's a simple word. But this game could have been more original in that area. SWC, LOTRC and now this.
Haters gotta hate :/
