Formula Wincars races take place in many different environments. There are races in cities , rallys in tropical islands, tournament through mountains or championships in frozen wastelands. Each of these environments has its own personality and atmosphere , and all of them are based on terrains. Today I will show you how to make them and how to provide them that special Formula Wincars look.

Formula Wincars races take place in many different environments. There are races in cities , rallys in tropical islands, tournament through mountains or championships in frozen wastelands.

Each of these environments has its own personality and atmosphere , and all of them are based on terrains. Today I will show you how to make them and how to provide them that special Formula Wincars look.

There are countless ways to create these fields: modelling them in 3D design software, or use specific programs like World Machine which simulates complex erosions, fluvial activity or glacial deposits.




These lands created in World Machine give us a very good base for our terrain , but it does not have the comic aspect we pretend to apply to Formula Wincars . But how does a comic/tooon landscape look like?


The key are very colorful landscapes, bright and well contrasted. In addition to this, techniques such as Ambient Occlusion at the edges between textures or very sharp edges on some materials that reminds us of the toon-looking old platform games.
