You guys gotta check out our new Design dev journal, we got a kick ass Unity scene with powerful shadows of evils in City of Steam.

This is a really cool scene featuring some smooth camera routines that Mark cooked up that will serve as the basis for more Unity3D web-based asset browsers in the future – a monster browser, some level walkthroughs, even an interactive map. That, and it shows off the mysterious and deadly Risen, who are awesome. It’s handy that the same assets we use in the game can be used in small applications like this.

Speaking of the interactive map, I’ve been working on specs and mockups for it for the past day or so. All the concept work, assets, animations, and fine-tuning that went into the World Machine has really paid off – it was a big hit at GDC and it’s always fun to see it running in the office. After some subtle additions to the scene, some coding, some art, and a good chunk of flavor material, it’ll be even better!

This is just a screenshot, maybe what you should do is visit our journal page and see what we created through the power of Unity.
