The day has come.
Yes ladies and gentlemen, a release is upon us. It's with great pride and pleasure that I introduce you all to Blitzkrieg II: The Finest Hour Release 2.5 version 0.49. Months in the making, Release 2.5 takes everything that made Blitzkrieg II good and makes it better, while taking many of its flaws and shortcomings and correcting, improving, or eliminating them. This patch focuses on polish and balance, and you'll find a far greater level of professionalism in this version than any previous Blitz II release has ever dreamed of having. New art, maps, sounds, and particleFX make for a far more immersive battle experience than ever before, as V1 missiles howl overhead, destroyed tanks rumble and burn before exploding, aircraft dogfight through the skies while dodging flak from fixed and mobile batteries, fallschirmjaegers drop from droning JU-52s, cannons send shockwaves through the trembling ground as thick smoke blasts into the sky, and the rumble of approaching armor sings of impending destruction. From the moment the first shots are fired on the new shellmap, you know you're facing a completely revitalized experience. I had great pleasure in leading the work on this project, and am immensely grateful to all the staff that have helped, from both Derelict Studios and Revora, Blitzkrieg II and The Finest Hour. I couldn't have dreamed of doing this without all the help I got.
And now, without further ado...
