The exit or jump key does NOT work no matter what key you assign to it so you cannot exit the book or the computer (far as I got after ignoring the book)
the jump function works just not the exit on the book or the computer and the computer interaction is necessary
Sorry to hear that, people have been reporting this bug, I personally have no idea why it happens as it never happened on the various playtests I did but I will upload a patch soon! In the meantime, you can try deleting config.cfg in the cfg/ folder and let the mod generate a new one for you to see if that fixes it.

okay I tried deleting config.cfg in the cfg/ folder and the problem still exists. Looking forward to the patch that will fix it.

Hello All, I am stuck at the exit door where you move the crate aside. I have the key card or whatever it is but am not sure where to go with it. And yes a walkthrough would be helpful.
Will there be a fix? The game freezes after the player character is attacked in the storage room (after the room with the plants, Hydroponics)then the screen just goes black and it's frozen.
Is that after the intro? That means the game is loading, I disabled the loading screen intentionally - it might take a long time to load on some PC. If that is not the case please feel free to send me a message and I'll look into it.

So I went ahead and started the next chapter from the New Game option and I bypassed that glitch that keeps you stuck on the book and computer screen, and I got to the main building. The player climbed inside then another loading screen then crash.

Have you had issues with running any Source Engine games before? Black Snow is more taxing than the average ep2 games , I'm looking into it right now but I'm not sure what could be causing it.
I'm trying to find the key to the snow cat. Can anyone tell me where the lodging building might be. This is an interesting game but very hard to navigate. Thanks

ok well im no genuis but i cant play the gamee im stuck in the beginning cause i cant exit from the computer instead of creating all these things and having us switch up thing would it be simpler just to change the exit button from space to enter because maybe it is all messed up because its used for jump??? no offence just wanted to find an answer u know
to exit the computer or book use the jump key. It tells you when after you hit "use", so i found out after lots of random key hitting. Shoulda read the instruction (again!!)
i also want to know how to get into the mods folder it doesnt seem to have one for me but maybe im just looking in the wrong place
having wondered around for an hour or so, being chased by the black scary cloud, i found the snow cat. Am I right in saying I have to find the key? How can you melt the ice off the lock in the building with a radiator? I think I have run out of doors to go through. Any clues welcome. Good atmos, nice and creepy. Did remind me of The Thing.
After installing Black Snow, i cant seem to platy it because of the fact that it white screens when It starts up the game. I use the SteamPipe fix for EP2 mods and it gets to the part where the guy is attacked by the black snow from the opening credits then hl2.exe crashes. Can anybody help me out?
