Our new release means almost a fresh start in many aspects. While the core gameplay is pretty much the same, we tried to eliminate many annoyances and imbalances. Large parts of code has been completely rewritten and latest SDK code available was integrated. The list of improvements is large, here follows some highlights:
- Linux dedicated servers are possible, top admin tools like Sourcemod and HLStatsX fully support our modification now.
- Global statistics, notoriety based ranking. All server are able to participate in, just use HLStatsX:CE and uncomment a line in server.cfg.
- New steamboat map: fof_robertlee. A complete new location for close combat action, refreshing map which gave us lot of fun during playtests.
- Player movement has been reworked completely, no more stamina, sprint or reduced speed when strafing. It uses a custom movement system, transparent to player, which controls strafing/jumping and decreases overall player speed.
- Networking and prediction derived issues as laggy movement, unusual amount of ghost hits or weapon glitches/exploits (scopes, reload, etc) has been fixed. FoF plays and feels like an official game now.
- Few Dollars More game type, this is a reincarnation of the old mode with some substantial changes. More money chests, still quite frenzy and unpredictable.Old maps like El Paso or Presidio shine again with this mode.

Great work, this is one of the great mods where you can win through skills and just have lots of chaotical fun.
Yeah, great. All the reasons for loving FOF are kicked out of the new version. Of course, i´ll play it, but...this totally sucks, guys!

It's a brilliant mod, but the community is making it pretty unplayable for me. Don't get me wrong there are some nice enough guys but this one gentlemen called "Fonzie" was making my playing experience a living hell.

Do not play the dollar gamemode with Dj Shadow something, kept TKing me so he could get points for the money i carried.
killing a carrier on your own team is stupid, tk penalties & kick vote are more than what he can get from the gold :x
As long as the lerp is 100ms by default there will be some "unusual amount of ghost hits" when ppl get shot though they thought that they were safely behind a corner.

I've tried to register at your forum but the captcha sucks ***.
First of all, you really need to add some kind of Assist system like TF2 or FAS uses.
Secondly, the custom gamemode of Push must be fixed, you can take a point even if you are on the building (trigger too big) and you can still cap the point even if someone in the other team is at the point.
Oh and don't bring the sprint and stamina back, much more fun like this tbh.
Finally! ive been wanting to play this game forever but noone ever plays it... hopefully this new update will get some players out in the servers
