Dear Battlegroup42 friends! We are pleased that we can announce our Patch 1.33 ready. It goes out to the mirrors at the moment, so it will sure be available for download soon on your favourite computer gaming website. We must admit that version 1.33 still contains some bugs, but it is a vast improvement about 1.32.

As we told you in our last news, patch 1.33 contains not much new content, but alot of fixes in coding, vehicles and at least maps, which made it necessary to put in the complete files of those maps. This is the reason for the client patch size of 650 MB. The client patch 1.33 is a cumulative one and will update every Battlegroup42 version from 1.30 on, which helps to avoid confusion with the different patches. The server version patches all versions from 1.30 as well, but it is also a full install and requires no former installation of a BG42 at all. For further information, please read our installation advices below.

The MOB Server already runs Battlegroup42 1.33. Our community meets there every wednesday and sunday from about 20:00 GMT+1 for online gaming. Ip: 81.169.151.27:14568

Battlegroup42 1.3x to 1.33 Patch

Installation Requirement:

Client:
To install Battlegroup42 1.33 Client Patch you need either Battlegroup42 1.30, 1.31 or 1.32 installed. Older Battlegroup42 versions are not supported.

Server:
The Battlegroup42 1.33 Server zip file contains a FULL version. You can use it to either update your Server to 1.33 or to do a fresh, new installation of Battlegroup42 Version 1.33 on your Server. No other Battlegroup42 Server files are needed !
Only the following versions of Battlegroup42 can be UPDATED with this version:
# Version 1.3
# Version 1.31
# Version 1.32
Server Versions older than 1.3 are NOT supported, in this case you´ll have to delete your complete "battlegroup42" folder before installing this full version ! Although you can use this FULL version to update your installed version (as mentioned above) we stronlgy recommend to delete your "battlegroup42" and use this new zip file in order to avoid any chance of differences between Server and Client files.
This version is for Windows and Linux Servers.

# All armored, wheeled Scout Cars have been changed from Tank to Scout Car, which means they now handle like a car/truck.
# New coax Machinegun Sounds for Tanks.
# New tracer effect for plane cannons and the 20mm AA guns
# New muzzle smoke effect for tanks
# Increased the splash damage radius and damage for Destroyer, Battleship and Artillery Guns
# New random Hull skirts for the Panzer IV H
