AVPG 2.0 Media-Release #01
We are pleased to bring you our first official media news update. After a slow start AVPG 2 is finally starting to get the ball rolling and producing results. Below are Models of our M41-A and M134 Mini-Gun. Modeled by: Hobden
If you're an old school player you should recall a map called Leadworks. Leadworks was released with AVP Gold back in 2000 and quickly became the favorite of many AVPers. So quite naturally this was the first map I wanted to get started on. Here is a picture of the old Leadworks to help jog your memory.

Oh boy, a FOX property... this can not end well.
We sent Fox an e-mail last week letting them know about the Mod. So I quess we will just have to see
I have to agree here, the only "fox IP" mod ever released was Aliens TC for Doom ( some 15 years ago).
heh for the time that came out, it was one of the best doom mods too...
maybe it will :o if they dont draw to much attention they might make it to a release :o and then they will get foxed >.>
Yes, I also hope this one will get done before FOX open their eyes. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you guys!

easiest thing to do is just have a private forum and work on it in secret then release it, BAM, take that fox, thats for making that avp rts game
The problem here is that HL mods run on steam, and valve would have to ban it...
Yea, because VALVe is responsible for the mods and it's so easy to ban them, right?
No, but they're responsible for the Steam content, and yes it is easy to ban it. BTW: I really like the stuff you guys are doing, I'm personally a big fan of both HL2 and AvP1, and I really wish you guys best of luck!

I too hope fox doesn't mess with your ideas. The models look great; I would hate for them to go to waste.
Nice weapon models even if you do get a cease and desist. Cool stuff to stick into the SMODs anyways.
theyve contacted fox for permission so itll be interesting to see how this pans out
pft, don't expect them to be kind. They're known for being as brutal as legally reclaiming all produced assets for the related project without any C&D. Typically this is done during production of an official game (AvP was already being worked on when Aliens Quake and Predator Q2 were foxed by FOX back in 1997 and 1998 respectively. And there was that Die Hard HL mod that stopped progressing mysteriously and the team ended up in the Nakatomi Plaza game...)
