isn't this pretty much the same news topic as the one before killing floor?
hey doug emailed me to post it...im gonna post it.
they supplied the prizes for the HL2 and modDB.com contest so dont complain!
aww I want dod instead of CS :( wish I could switch em
So if peeps preordered this from a shop and bought it they wudnt be able to get HL:S or DOD:S or the Back catalogue of games without repurchasing HL2 through steam ?
If you preordered it then surely you could cancel it and re-order through Steam?
I'm all for it - stop ******* about with the antiquated CD-ROMs and physical media and push it all down those two copper wires into my ADSL modem.
i prefer to have it on cd, well because its more reliable, unless you scratch alot of cd's...
Id prefer it on CDs too. If I reformat then I have to redownload the full 3 or so gig of HL2, HL1:S and CS:S
Got silver.
This is gamers paradise right here.
just pruchased gold, only because i had the ati voucher :P
HAHAHA. £75 for HL Gold to UK. Valve can get knotted if they think I'm gonna pay that.
@blue, oh never mind then. I thought that there was some error, that one news item got posted twice with slight modifications. But never mind my previous comment then :-P
I'm gonna get the collector's edition of hl2 with the dvd! :D
waiting for the coll box
So Ill pick my copy up at a store.
Tho I am trying to get free copies for another contest. xxx my fingers
Counterstrike source is a cute little diversion.
Don't expect to be blown away....but there is some nostalgic value to be had.
I'm getting more of a kick out of the Condition Zero game in all its cheesy glory.
But the real reason i bought the silver pack, of course, was for HL2
Does anyone else notice that the water effects are SERIOUSLY lagging the game?
Gold all the way baby
I have no problem with water effects. This is a nice step up from CS god I hated that game. I got Silver, just to make sure I got DoD:S coming to me...plus HL:S and I just got CS:CZ and Deleted Scenes all for $10 extra. Any ways the new CS maps look amazing, check out Office...smokin window shatter effects.
I am going for The Silver Package:) Actually quite cheap for so many games - especially if you dont HL1.
"Does anyone else notice that the water effects are SERIOUSLY lagging the game?"
Thats just how it has to be when their poor little shader renders most things twice...
