We are pleased to finally announce the brand new logo for Through the Woods, which we have been working on for some time now.

Why a new logo?

While we liked the old logo, it was a bit of rushed job when we couldn’t find a graphic designer with the time to incorporate exactly what we wanted the logo to say. We believe that this new logo is a much better representation of the game itself and the thematic we wish to convey, in many ways telling a story all in it self. The logo also much more clearly ties in with the Norwegian culture that Through the Woods is so inspired by.

We wanted a logo that could work better with different backgrounds and designs for promotional use, and after a lot of experimentation we believe we have now found just that. Expect to see more of our logo in the near future on everything from flyers to T-shirts and other assorted uses. We have a lot of cool ideas to make some great looking variations with the new logo for Through the Woods in the future, and we can’t wait to show you.

Why now?

The timing of the new logo mostly comes down to the fact that we recently hired a new Character Artist, the very talented Stian Mofossbakke Schüller. And while wanted him on board for his skills in regards to making high-quality 3D-models, it certainly didn’t hurt when he told us he’s also a skilled concept artist, works well with vector graphics as well as dabbles with some programming. Together with his girlfriend, Kristine Juvik, a professional graphic designer, they have come up with the design for a complete new graphical profile for Through the Woods that we feel really excited about.
