The Rakata are a darkside race in many ways. For one they created the Star Forge, anouther is that they conquered and Enslaved Entire Races. Before the complete creation of the Infinity Empire. The Rakata landed on several outer Rim Worlds. Dantooine and Tatooine are the most important planets during this time. The Rakata by unknown means found Dantooine. There is no reference of any intelligent Force Beings there. The Rakata created a structure, strong in the Dark Side of the Force on the planet. One of the most important things pu in this structure is called a Star Map. At this time it had full coordinates of where the Star Forge and where Rakata Prime was located, incase any Rakata lost their way home.
Tatooine, a planet on the other side of the galaxy was extremely important. It was a green planet during this time and populated by people who would soon become the Tusken Raiders, or the Sand People. The Rakate arrived peacefully at first and offered peace with the natives. But just like what King Adas discovered on Korriban, the Tusken Raiders would soon discover that the Rakata were bent on conquest. War broke between the Natives and the Rakata. It eventually led the Rakata to bring their Fleet to decimate the surface with radioactive weapons. It turned the ground to glass, and before they left the Rakata set a Star Map in a old cave in the desert. The Natives survived the bombardment but the ground had now turned to glass and there was very little water left. Eventually the Natives will become the Tusken Raiders and had no choice but to leave the planet in its current state.

o and also reading that i noticed it said they had humans as slaves which cant be true since on KOTOR the Rakatan droid on Dontooine doesnt recognize the human species.
the Rakata did enslave humans but weren't total slave drivers they did have very few privileges such as talking to droids and asking about unrestricted information
hmm i still find it odd that the droid didnt recognize the species lol but o well
Humans were on different planets. None were on Dantooine at the time of the building.
