Hello everyone. Today I'm releasing a new mod for Empire whcih has a very specific goal. This "unofficial standardization patch" for Empire: Total War has as its primary goal the standardization of graphics and gameplay in-between NTW and ETW. Complete original rosters for the major nations and proper balancing to make Empire "vanilla" as close as possible to NTW without altering its inner workings too drastically.
So far my efforts have all been put on the major and minor European factions and at present my next goal would be to make Genoa, Savoy, the United States and Portugal their own rosters. This mod is not meant to be a replacement for your favorite overhaul. You may consider it as an alternative to vanilla ETW that NTW and Shogun 2 players can play out of the box without having to fix stuff themselves, feeling right at home.
All models' fashon is based on the "middle" period of the 1700s, between 1745-1765.
Balancing has been customized from the vanilla version of my Realism Core submod for NTW which focuses on morale rather than raw casualties. All models have been repurposed from ETW's originals and only the heads have been converted from NTW. Texturing, model refinements, arranging new meshes and UV mapping was made by me, all extra head textures have been made by PdGuru and full credit for those should be given to him.
Please note that this is NOT a campaign mod. It is intended for battles only. Of course you can implement my units into your campaign should you wish to do that. I havent done so because I dont think its worth it for this particular game.
