Hey guys this update is all about the new faction being added and high res textures for the ground along with omega squad and the changing of the Main Menu to match the new name of the mod.
First off we have Omega squad their textures was done by FlyingDonut who did one hell of a great job on them so thanks to him for his amazing work.
Next on the list we have new Textures for the ground this was requested months and months ago i just hadn't gotten around to doing it and i finally have so i hope you guys like them.
Second to last we have a new Faction Mandalorian's now this faction is gonna be in different places as they will be mixed with stuff from 60 BBY (Mandalorian Civil War) all the way up into the GCW and a bit farther, Mandalorian's are replacing the ZC and will use a lot of their ships and so on, Warb_null has released some great Mandalorian ships so i will be using those as well.
This faction is gonna get a lot of attention from me since i am a huge fan of Death Watch and the Mandalarians, IG88 and Bossk and some of the other heroes from the ZC will be uses by other factions like the rebels and empire as bounty hunters and possible normal heroes for the Mando's.
You maybe asking why the Mandalarians they aren't in any Star wars battlefront game, well i have done both the CIS and Republic and Rebels and Empire are already in,So what i'm doing is going to be adding in Factions i think would of been awesome to see in a Battlefront Game meaning The Old Republic and Sith Empire are coming.
Last we have the main menu change to accommodate the new name change of the mo once again this was done by FlyingDonut so big thanks to him.
Now lets talk the state of the mod here for a minute,
The mod is going great i have fully completed the coding for the Republic Faction meaning for land they can capture any building or buildpad/turretpads, all abilities now work on the units they are suppose to so all clones will get combat,stamina and increased mobility upgrades and so on and it will do something now unlike last time it was just there as a upgrade but didn't give that unit a combat upgrade,vehicles and other units have also gotten this treatment.
Space have been redesigned so now you don't have to build a ISD,Mon Cal cruiser,Venator and so on in the SWBF2 style maps to build new units they are all on the build bar to build right away in your main Capital Ship and have fun but this is just a temporary move (and will be in the next patch)until i can get the construction droid setup and allow you to build structures which will be more like a sins of a solar empire feel allowing you to build Capital Ship,Frigate,Support and Hanger Factories to bring in your new units and turret pads to build up defences. GC will also get the same treatment, the Space station will be moved as a defensive/upgrade station for all of your units it will still hyperspace units in for each upgrade you do along with giving you a fleet upgrade for each capital ship you bring it and allowing you to build more construction droids.
Land atm hasn't changed much for any of the factions but it will get a massive overhaul in the future after Space is finished.

wow, this looks awesome... so happy to hear we will be getting old republic and Vitiate's sith empire... also I was going to send you a PM with the bugs I found in space... but it seems like you have dealt with them already... so I should check the ground battles? or should I just wait for the next version to start helping with bug reports?
can we get an estimate on when the next patch will be out!? this is some exciting stuff!
