I still talk about the great fun we had trying to make this work. The incredible following and feedback all the way to the "cease and desist" from Bungie.
This mod was epic in design, but never had a large enough team to see it through.
It started in 2006 with some 3D art and an Idea. I was 15 years old at the time, and completely un-stoppable. Other kids had free time, I had time to work on my Mods, films, and art. I learned C++ and Python in 2007, and was bit by this bug that made me take everything apart to see how it worked.
I went on to get a Bachelor of Computer Science degree, a direction chosen in large part because of my experience here.
Now that I just celebrated my 25th birthday, it is time to take these experiences and make them count somewhere, wish me luck!
Oh, one more thing, the playable level everyone keeps asking about is on a HDD that died in 2009. I still have the disk, and one day, I will fork over the fee to have it recovered in a clean room. (busted IC) The day I find that file is the day I share it with you guys, my team, and everyone else!
Moral of the story, keep an updated backup!!
