Post news Report RSS A dark era for Operation: Chernobyl.

Don't let the title confuse you. Operation: Chernobyl won't cease development. It's has been a month or so ever since our last update, so here goes. Huge changes both in development, the team, how our updates will work, and of course, Job Openings. Operation: Chernobyl takes a whole new turn in terms of development, that would perhaps help in making the game better and improve in terms of how the team handled the project before.

Hello.

For the past few days, Operation: Chernobyl underwent a whole new level of improvements. You could help.

Operation: Chernobyl took a rough turn towards a rough road recently. Our Main Developer had left the team, and made a hundred and eighty turn towards us. It's sad to have him leave the team, but he had a lot of things to put in his life first other than Operation: Chernobyl. I, Mulky Orignis, has taken his position as Development Lead. This is rather, a good news, in terms of how the development of Operation: Chernobyl will turn out.

The recent two months of Operation: Chernobyl had little interaction with the team, however, this will change. Weekly updates are now a thing! We are also going to upload our very first trailer next month, which is March, so stay tuned for that! We are also going to open up Jobs for you to join the team! Yes, YOU.

Currently, the team has three Voice Actors, One Mapper, and one Concept Artist. We are planning to further expand the team to decrease work time, and push a Q2 2020 release for Operation: Chernobyl. With the changes in the team tackled, now is the time to tackle about the changes in the story. Operation: Chernobyl will change it's plot entirely, whilst still keeping important details from it's past story outline.

You might also be asking, "Is this all? How about the maps? Any screenshots? New Models? Sound files? Anything you would be able to show at this moment? Come on, stop wasting my time with a wall of text!" Alright whoa there buddy!- Don't worry, this upcoming week, we'll be posting a screenshot or two of what is currently a Work-In-Progress recreation of what you are currently seeing in the old screenshots at our images tab! For now, stare at our mapping concept piece. Don't worry, it'll all be worth it in the end, put trust in us and exercise patience, a Lot. ;)

(Currently Work-in-progress. May change!)

Available Positions:

Sound Designer - Someone who's able to create new monster sounds. We are looking for someone who's had a fair amount of knowledge and experience when it comes to sound design (Could be school-based, could be from being part of a project, or anything that proves to be a valuable proof that you are a sound designer). We have no software restrictions, you could use Audacity, Sound Forge, anything, as soon as you know that you are qualified to join the team!

Gameplay Designer - Someone who knows how gameplay flow works in the Source Engine. Someone who is capable of visualizing great flow in gameplay, accompanied by the story. You need to have experience on Hammer, know how A.I Works, or pretty much how gameplay would work on a game. You will play a big role in how Operation: Chernobyl flows, the gunplay, the story telling, someone who's able to make a memorable experience for the player to experience.

Composer - Someone who's able to create an original soundtrack for Operation: Chernobyl. We're going for an atmospheric-horror type of style with a couple of distinct electronic queues for our soundtrack, if you think you can handle that, then join the team!

3D Modeller - We need someone who's able to create enemy models, and weapon models. I can't say much, without the requirement to spoil the surprise for the game ;) . You'll also be creating the model for the main character. You need to show us previous work, of course!

Contact us on our team's email : Spindleentertainment.team@gmail.com

So that's it for the available positions. Guess I'll see you in the radiation zone, Unit.

Farewell, and see you next week!

Thanks for the motivation! Hopefully, this time, the project'll be finished the way it was always seen by the veterans in the team. :D
