I think the fans are really going to get a kick out of the SotProphets OST. Fantastic mood music, really makes a fleet engagement that much more intense.
No kidding, and he's got way better stuff in the oven baking right now.
I can tell he'a an awesome guy, I'm just some guy who's listened to some of his compositions and they really are amazing but I lnow he'll go places. *thumps up*
Waseem, those four tracks are just pure quality. They fit the Halo scene perfectly and they are just, WOW.
*nod's head in approval*
These tracks are so beautiful I want to cry
Brilliant job, well done.
You should add the halo 4 song that activates when you get in the mantis's in campaign
Yea no, we're trying to reduce the odds of us being sued or being asked to take the mod down, not increase it.
Great guy, great composer! I absolutely love where he's going with the OST ,keep it up Wasseem :)
:D
awwwww My Fwwwwwwwnd!
Content was great, but constantly thrown off by the presentation.
Anything specific that irked you? The background?
I found them all greatly made and saw the amount of effort he put into this, like he said raising them like children.
One thing I kinda need to say though for constructive criticism is the fact that the pitch and harmony of both the Covenant and UNSC themes are almost identical except for the slight differences in tunes at the covenants ending.
If you have two diverse cultures around the earth do their music sound the same? take India and Ireland. Both are good distances away and don't share a single sound or tune related.
Now if you expanded that by an alien galaxy hundreds of thousands of lightyears away.....It sounds way to repetitive and similar.
Overall I found all the pieces amazing...But I would've wished for significant differences between two extremely different factions in terms of music, You know having the covenant all religious fanatics and all. On the other hand I hope you take this into consideration when you keep doing this spectacular work.
No that makes perfect sense and I'll let you know now for the record that the Covenant have yet to be fully developed.
Otherwise currently the UNSC have taken my focus as they are most likely to be released first. So from the following above take from them what you will, but also take with a pinch of salt, as again they are demos and will be subject to change regarding the final product. But yes I have been considering this and your comment has given me confirmation of what was required so much appreciated.
I'm grateful you consider this. I do take in that this is just a small portion and taste of what is going to come further in time. As it is a testing demo for the tracks and I am confident you will surprise me even farther with the talent you exhibit. I will look forward to voyaging through space with the majestic pieces very soon.
Really like UNSC Battle 02
I just want to make known that when I was listening to the Battle 02 track, I imaged a battle between UNSC and Covie forces fighting it out. It also made me think of scenes from the Clash and Wrath of the Titans movies as well. So I just want to know- was the usage of the cellos influenced by the compositions of those two movies as well as some parts of songs from other movies? Because if not, then I understand. I too have some composition ideas, but no software for it. So I'm just stuck with having to suffer inconsiderable musical insanity of trying to figure out what kind of song I want to make up in order to hum it out. It's frustrating, really. I just hope my Yamaha piano's disc will have (hopefully) what I need to do it, also I have almost a full 6 years of musical experience come New Year's. Yay me...
You'll find a way, don't worry.
Hope you had a nice Christmas btw and have a Happy New Year.
Whilst making Battle 02, I usually just go with the flow and see what comes out the other end. The Wrath of the Titan's reference is interesting, I'll have a listen later.
Cheers
