Today, we have some news to share with you about the development of 3:00am Dead Time and some behind the scenes work we had been doing in the past month.
As we informed you a while ago, 3:00am Dead Time is being highly improved, with tons of new features and additional content being added for the first Early Access release. This version will be released through Steam Early Access once the development of the main features and content are finished and tested. We also announced a while back that we were preparing a release of this Early Access version exclusive for GameJolt's store, DRM-Free and with a full integration of GameJolt's API.
However and due to situations that are out of our control, we have to inform you that as of this week, we have decided to cancel the plans for a release of the game through GameJolt and furthermore, we will be removing the game's profile from the platform. The reason behind this is the serious lack of communication we have experienced with their website and support services, which affected the development schedules of the game, and which we worry might affect you as the player if we continue with the planned release through this platform.
After almost one month of trying to contact GameJolt through all available means, we finally received a reply but are not fully satisfied with the explanation behind the long and important delay, nor with how it affected our work and the potential troubles it may cause to you.
In Irreverent Software, we have always made our priority and high commitment to give you support and an open, constant communication whenever you need to contact the team. Being this so important for us, we have decided that we cannot have a collaboration nor a full release through a platform whose support service has been, in our experience, inadequate.
For the moment, the DRM-Free version of the game won't be available on Early Access until we find a suitable platform where we can offer a better support to all of you. The final version of the game, as a DRM-Free download, will be available for purchase at our own website at the end of the development.
If you have been following the development of the game through GameJolt, we encourage you to follow the official Twitter account of the game @3amDT or the official Irreverent Software account @IrrSoft, as well as the game's IndieDB and Steam profiles to keep track of all the development news, trailers, updates and releases.
3:00am Dead Time's GameJolt profile will be available until tomorrow, October 8 2016.
We are very thankful for your support, and we also want to ensure you that the development of the game continues at full speed, as our team keeps making all the needed adjustments to provide you the game you deserve, and the best service and support we can offer.
Have an excellent day :
The Irreverent Software Team.
