First of al let me introduce myself, I'm was one of the founding developers but retired of WWI Source and been involved in countless other mods either as a contributor or tester. See my portfolio for details of my personal work. Beglin.co.uk
But this time I wanted to start one from scratch myself.
So comes Falklands
As you can see from the media I already have a semi playable alpha, but remember I am doing this thing on my own at the moment. I was lucky enough to be donated some content from other mods and I am using variuos place-holders for other parts.
All these in the long run will be replaced with original models, but working on my own this could take a while.
As for a team, Its not the way I want to do this, What I want to do is invite developers to contribute work for me to place into the mod, that way I am not asking anyone to give up there other jobs or real life time and commit themselves to add there work into a mod. So for example if you have a nice model that would fit into the mod and you wanted to get your work into a game that will get released, you would offered said model and you would get full credits and link backs to your site etc etc
I hope that makes sense
I will create a list of the models that i require at some point so you can see if you have that darn model you worked on for ages for that mod that just went belly up can be used in Falklands, or if you just fancy making a model to contribute then that's fine.
I'm hoping to keep regular news post and media updates. so do track and keep and eye on things, see if this idea works out, if not I will have to get my modelling skills up a bit :)
This would make a better BF2 mod
But it would have been A LOT heavier.
IF you're going for scoped weapons and such huge recoil, you will need massive maps. Looks great though.
I'll be glad to help you out once you put out that full list :)
I hope this doesnt die :D
If a rifle had that much recoil I don't think soldiers would ever hit anything.
A short video showing the recoil system (Settings are set very high to demonstrate the effect)
as stated, the SLR doesnt fire automatic like that ;-)
hehe yeah fixed all that now mate, it was good for showing effect though :)
agreed :D
