If you ever played Starcraft or Warcraft III, you have probably played Starcraft Zone Control. The purpose is quite simple, each player begins with a bunker, which repeatedly spawns marines (1 marine every 2 sec), who can be controlled and sent to your enemies. But, the main attractive thing is in the upgrades you can purchase for your troops, and above all, in which order you buy them ! You can build more bunker and take more control over the map, to create even more marines and eradicate your enemies. The original map looked like a chessboard. So, for the Dow2 version, I think I’ll use the same gameplay, but with some modifications. For example, you can build your bunkers where you want, not on a chessboard, you can play by teams, FFA… For the future releases, we could add special events, random alliance, orbital bombardment…
Here is a first screenshot of a new map, King of the Hill ! It's a classic gameplay, you have to take and defend a central position to win.
i cant get it to work every time i launch the game it starts but when i go to start match it will load 3/4 then stop and not respawn do need a certain map?
Which map do you use ? I have the same problem with some maps, it loads 3/4 and stops...
With the map Dying Planet, it should work. I think this problem comes from some entities in the maps...
k i got it to work on dying planet and the test maps can u add some buildings the maps r a bit bland the only cover there is is where the rocks landed and even then they will hit there over and over
It was my intention not to add covers, because it's not usefull for this mod, and anyway, I modified all covers to 0% cover...
I'll further add entities in the maps, here it's only an alpha release...
can you play multiplayer with this or only against AI
