It's me TheGunrun here and I'm proud to announce that Zero Hour Retarded is now officially on ModDB!
For those who don't know what Zero Hour Retarded is it is a mod for Zero Hour which changes lots of stuff in the game and makes the game uber fun. Unlike most other mods this one is created by one person who also happens to be Filipino, ME! My main intent in creating this mod was to create the funnest gaming experience possible using zero hour. This mod features an innumerable amount of changes. These changes include a much further view of the battlefield, numerous music changes, $500 from all supply structures every 12 seconds, the implementation of your self as a unit, starting vehicles, new menu design, and many many more very sexy changes to the game. Zero Hour Retarded is the collaboration of 3 years of modding work which began with "The Gunrun Mod Version 1.7 Beta." back in April 20th 2003 which was originally released on Generalsfiles.com. Back then they thought my name was the mod...(Even the person who made my readme files) This mod had many incarnations such as Hour:Zero The Reloaded Revolution, Final Hour, Final Hour II, Axis of Power, and Axis of the Matrix beta.

Also the guys at modtoaster have intergrated the lag patch to V4 so that means you can totaly play V4 on modtoaster with out anylag!! If you happen to allready have V4 installed from about two days ago from modtoaster I sugest deleting it and redownloading.
Once again im sorry for the god damned lag issue with V4 and will probrably release a V4.5 within a week or two.... probrably 3... or sometime this summer... Or just called it V5 or something...

Hi everyone i DESPERATELY need help.
I bought a new Sony VAIO Laptop it has
Windows Vista Home premium
1.80GHz Dual Core Processor
1GB of Ram
nVidia 8400M GT with GPU
160GB 5400RPM Hard Drive
I installed the Generals Zero Hour on this new computer and i could play VS the Computer only! But if i try to play online i can't transfer the maps i made so i tried to play standard maps what happens is that it takes longer than usual for the game to start and when the game starts it runs for 2 seconds only then everything freezes! As if the game is paused.
1. I switshed off the firewall.
2. I ran the game as an administrator.
3. I changed the compatibility to make the game run as if it's running on XP SP2
4. I got the Options.ini file from a friend's computer as his computer was XP SP2 and i changed the Options.ini on my machine with the Options.ini that was on the XP machine
All of that didn't help can anyone sort out my problem and about other Million Zero Hour players' problem by providing a real solution as many people changed to Vista now and i've checked many forums and everyone is complaining and some say that Electronic Arts has dropped the support for this game because it was released about 5 years ago.
Any help will be appreciated.

Sorry to say you should either move on and forget Zero hour and up to CNC 3 or wait for RA 3.
Or you can just use your old computer to play on it instead.

Hey i beleve the solution to your problem is to preiodicly try to delete it or delete the whole file it's in.
Cause i used to have some files that i could not delete before, so i left it alone, then tried to delete it again and i was able to delete it that time.
