I really, really like the hangar shield switching effect.
And I have a little suggestion.
Idk if it would take much time (and I don't want to sound like an ***, wanting all sorts of details), but you could tone down the shield switching on the newer ships, and turn it up and make it stand up on the older models.
That would kinda show what time and numerous battles did to them.
Little things.. :)
