Description
After the devastating defeat at the Battle of Nocto, Talon Squadron shifted from task force to task force, rebuilding its ranks but never achieving the fame it once had. Eventually, during the Vong war, Talon Squadron became stationed aboard an Imperial Vindicator Class cruiser, commanded by Maarek Stele, who had a fondness for the Alpha XG-1s. Together they performed border patrols, safeguarding the Imperial Remnant.
Special ability:
- toggle between concussion missiles and ion torpedos
- bombing run

Maarek Stele was an Emporer's Hand who during the Vong war was stationed on an unnamed ship with a small task force performing border patrol. Stele was Starwing pilot in years prior, so we thought why not give him the remnants of Talon Squadron since their fate was never fully told.
Just some more minor heroes to fill in the galaxy.

As I remember it's already been established that fighters will *only* be launched from ships, never constructed as individual squadrons. The reasons why have been covered before in other places and I can't remember all of them so I won't go over them here.
Exactly that. No buildable fighter squadrons. They always operate from a carrier.
Reasons include, but are not limited to: Gameplay design, technical and implementation related reasons, balancing, GUI limitations.
Hope that clears it up a little.
So, if you want more fighters, you build carriers instead, right?
