In this image, you can see the DiCE original model below our edits.
The top model, including turrets and additional structures has been added on to the DICE model while removing some DICE material that was deemed unneccesary
top is Team YVaW edtis to DICE model : 48 hours to make edits and add turrets
bottom is original model by DICE built off the specifications of the original movie prop
dice model? wasnt aware they made one.
it is the model they used in the opening scene to battle of Jakku, where the SSD crashes into the desert. It is not highly detailed, for the uses of DICE and battlefront, it just wasn't needed due to the far distance, DICE has made an incredibly accurate model.
But, for our needs, we strongly advertise the use of the 'follow camera' in the game, where you can select a unit such as a fighter squadron and press the "C" button to activate the 'chase camera'. We want players to be able to watch fighters fly over the surface of our ship models and not see low resolution pixelated textures, but rather see everything in full high definition glory. This requires a lot of painstaking and tricky texturing, but to us, if just one person notices the care in our detail work, that will make us happy :)
This is by far. My favorite mod.
