You have found out how to use the actual movie model in the game?

scanning models of the ships and converting them into .alo models? that would probably be very high poly but sounds awesome.

You've acquired access to Industrial Light & Magic's original Star Wars models and are currently scanning for usable 3D models?

The original models were actually all physical scale props, not computer 3d models. I would require a 3D scanner to do that. I only wish that was possible...

What I am trying to develop is the next best thing though: a way to bring movie quality graphics and textures into a 10 year old game....

oh right so you are doing something similar to what Dice is doing with the new star wars battlefront.

Yes, I was referring to 3D scanning.

And I believe that getting access to ILM models is a lot harder than building a 3D scanner. x)

I don't suppose "we" actually refers to the Nebulon B captain, and by "learning something new" means that he has found out how to not be pursued by all the gargantuan ships in the galaxy, does it?
