We all begin somewhere...

This is a video taken from EvilleJedi's Homeworld 2 mod: Warlords. It was, and has been since before the creation of my team and the Vong Invaders mod by Seregruth and Enpremi, the only playable finished mod to represent the Vong. A true testament to creativity back when it was created. EvilleJedi, a rather quiet modder who, well let's face it, birthed our Empire at War modding community was the original pioneer of almost all our star wars models and was the grand architect of giving life to what the Vong should look like. Whether he realizes it or not, his generous offering of allowing the original Filefront community to use freely all his Warlords models is what allowed our community to flourish and grow. It is where many of us first got our start. Nearly every mod on the original Filefront site was based around EJ's models. And while I myself have had the smallest opportunities to actually talk to EJ, mostly through a very short period where I followed the beginnings of his Sins of a Solar Empire mod, it was his predecessor of that mod Lavo, who gave us our true beginning by giving us all of EJ's most recent and unreleased model work.

While these guys might have thought nothing of these gestures, acts such as these is what awakened our creativity, gave us hope, and allowed us to learn. When I started my modding career (2007), I was only a fledgling design student, a cocky kid with a sharp eye and some photoshop skill. Seeing the models of EJ on Filefront not only impressed me as an artist, but also gave life to what the star wars galaxy could be. For the first times, I actually now knew what a Bothan Cruiser was, or what the NR navy could have looked like defending the Core Worlds....

To these guys, EvilleJedi, and Lavo, I express my most humblest thank you, for you have given us inspiration, and allowed us to learn and become what our team is today.
