Behold the Yuuzhan Vong Army! This mod adds the Yuuzhan Vong Race as a playable faction and all units of this era. We are a community of modders working for the greater goal, so anyone who wants to help or support us is welcome!
"They're not being manufactured by the Empire. They're being scrounged from who knows where-probably some fringe pirate or mercenary gang. And they're being scrounged precisely because we're down to a single major shipyard and it can't keep up with demand for capital ships, let alone starfighters."
―Admiral Gilad Pellaeon
With the Imperial Remnant dwindling in resources, most Star Destroyers were outfitted with Preybird starfighters in replace of their compliments of TIES. Preybirds were heavy armored and shielded, but less maneuverable with a slower top speed than and X-wing. Shielded and armed with 2 heavy lasers and a fore and aft concussion missile launcher the Preybird was a deadly adversary to both fighters and capital ships with its ability to take a beating and equally dish one out.

all efforts right now are directed towards our Dec release
Will all the new units shown so far be in the release? and is there a speculation for the DL size?
Preybirds are launched from Star Destroyers, and yes, all in first release except yorik-stronha spy ship, we are don’t need 2 spy ships in skirmish, we already have Khinh. After first release, as we finish more units, more skirmish will be added. We hope to have 2 vong factions representing early and late war
wait, Dec release? i thought you were aiming for november?
Mid December
Why it has USB port?
So that the pilot would be able to charge his phone of course!
Many Imperial pilots actually reported liking this fighter better than TIE variants, ironically. It was more reliable and could absorb more damage. Likewise, it had life support and a hyperdrive. If the Empire had adopted them sooner, the war may very well have been different.
Shields, armor and a co-pilot, who wouldn’t love that over the suicide spheres lol
"I think you overestimate their chances." ~Tarkin, 0 ABY
Thats one funky back launcher, whats the point of that?
shooting a pursuer is so specific
I mean it seems like it would have been pretty helpful during the battle of yavin most of the ships destroyed there were destroyed by a pursuer
That is a great point... and why didn’t the y-wings use their turrets during the trench run?
I guess no copilots or the ones that had their turrets fixed forwards, but that would have been a bad tactical choice
Burnstrobe... I tried but The TRUE star wars canon (ours not disney's) didn't state anything so I found this... "The canon explanation since at least the early ’90s is that Gold Squadron was flying BTL-A4s, and thus didn’t rotate their turrets to shoot at the pursuing TIE fighters because they couldn’t. If you look at the Battle of Scarif, Gold Squadron seems to have been flying A4s then, as well." Quora.com
Definetely one of my most favourite fighters in all of Star Wars, beautiful work.
