MC25 Point Defense Escort Frigate
The Mon Cals specialize in large warships with big guns. After ending the Consortium Wars against Tyber Zann, they learned the need of needing escort frigates for anti-fighter defense such as the MC30.
The MC25 was developed after viewing the effectiveness of the Consortium's Crusader corvette. The MC25 features advanced tracking sensors and 8 point defense lasers mounted along the flanks. For added defense, the MC25 has 4 dual barrel medium turbolaser turrets and the special ability of "power to weapons" to super charge energy to the light lasers (AA weaponry) mounted within the gun blisters.

Turret Design: Karcov
Karcov did a great job on these Mon Cal turrets, they really bring the MC ships to life. These turrets are the equivalent of the Corellian medium turbo lasers seen on the CR90 and Nebulon B, but have a slightly longer range.

Hey great job guys, finally an effective bridge between frigate and corvette. (can it get the point defense lasers if its inspired by the Crusader?)
Wait, I thought the Zann Consortium wasn't part of Star Wars canon. From the way I looked at it, I thought this mod was going to follow that. Not that I'm saying it's a bad thing, but I'm just a little confused.
It doesn't really matter, there is no relevance to tyber zann in the mod. I just mentioned that so people would make the connection and understand how this ship works.
It shoots down enemy missiles.
Some mods downplay the effectiveness of corvettes, will you guys do the same?
The focus of gameplay will be centered on corvette to small cruiser sized ships ;)
