An aging cruiser developed before the Civil War, the Broadside gained much fame for its notable heavy armor and devastating salvos of Concussion Missile volleys. Hindered by slow speed, the Broadside was still a challenging target. Heavy reinforced armor plating and dual shield generators gave the ship the ability to take quite a beating. The ship was armed with 3 forward fixed Concussion Missile launchers for dealing long range barrages with area damage making it a deadly ranged unit to smaller ships and fighter squadrons. For defense, the Broadside featured 4 dual Medium Turbolaser turrets, 6 Light Laser turrets and 3 Imperial Blaster turrets for AA defense.
The broadside also performed the role of a minelayer, deploying space mines against enemy capital ships.

first few pics and empire stereotypes made me think i was only seeing the rear part of the ship :P
