A Star Wars/Dark Forces themed mod for GZDoom. It replaces Doom's weapons, enemies and (almost all) decoration objects. The mod takes elements from both Star Wars cannon and legends. Most projectiles are 3d models of Star Wars blaster effects. Gameplay is changed quite a lot, hitscan attacks are rare and most projectiles typically move much faster than those in Doom. Infighting is also rare and only happens between imperials, aliens and bounty hunters (they won't attack their own team). The Icon of Sin is also replaced with a more traditional boss enemy, Emperor Palpatine! You can also unlock force powers by finding lightsabers. You can get up to seven powers, including being able to throw your lightsaber. Force powers use force energy which slowly regenerate or can be charged up faster at the cost of movement speed. The mod uses built in ZDoom controls for inventory items and force powers. There are new names for the user key functions for the force powers.

This is an excellent mod that succeeds in what it set out to do with flying colors. The textures, the enemies, the sounds and the new hud all recontextualize this classic into a legendary Star Wars blood bath. It is truly a gift to have play as Kyle Katarn leading a one man genocide against an incredibly rendered hellish Imperial army. Would definitely recommend for anyone itching to play a Star Wars FPS.

What a FANTASTIC mod! Its ambitiousness and passion is tied with other fantastic Doom mods, such as the ones focused on the Aliens franchise, Doom 2-into-Doom 2016, and Brutal Doom.

I've played Xim's terrific work with the levels he's suggested, and they work great.

I really enjoy how he allows us to pick different classes to play with. That instantly delivers a level of satisfaction that ends up showing itself on the huge smile one is wearing.

The textures pack really does the job too.

While we're stuck in a Lucasarts and Disney wasteland, there are GEMS like Xim's work, the Enhancement mods for Jedi Knight/Mysteries of the Sith, and of course the Jedi Academy Movie/Duel mods to save the day.

DOWNLOAD this mod, follow Xim's recommendations, and you'll have a great time.

I have always loved both Doom and Dark Forces, and to see the two collide so well makes me practically giddy.

Plus, it's so far very mod friendly, letting me use the Kriegsland Eneimies wad to fight nazis as Kyle Katarn

It's a great Star Wars mod for DooM. The only thing is that some weapons look off mainly because some of the weapons come from other games.

Solid mod, feels like a love letter to Dark Forces. The levels don't feel very Star Wars-y though, they kind of feel like regular Doom levels with some imperial logos thrown here and there. Despite that though, I enjoyed this mod, good stuff!

The mod has potential, but he needs maps based on the movies, it would be incredible to have the millenium falcon, I even figured I was surprised to enter the map 30 and see that I was facing the emperor, if you have darth vader tell me the summon tell him what map he is on.
