The X20 Mod is intended to bring the design philosophy of the Vampire tabletop RPG's 20th Anniversary Editions to Bloodlines: to make it feel like it fits into the wider World of Darkness setting by including references both overt and subtle, obvious and deep-dive, referencing material that came out before Bloodlines and after. One of Clan Quest Mod's recommended mods!

Description

The latest version of the X20 Mod, this "Basic" version is textures only, and can be safely used with nearly any other Bloodlines mod.

Thank you for you hard work and additions. However; Basic contains texture changes introducing Saint's Row into the VtM:B world space. This is out of place unless playing the Antitribu mod.

These changes have no place in the base game, the Unofficial Patch (Basic/Plus), or even Clan Quest and Final Nights. This is NOT Saint's Row.

Paying homage to Half-Life 2 is a slap in the face to the game and to Troika by indirectly acknowledging Activision's treatment of Troika and this game franchise during development.

I will not use this mod as I do not agree with it. But that is me and others may like it and good for them they can use it.

How is it a slap in the face? with out the creation of Half Life 2 we would not even have the game in the source engine. It'snot indirectly acknowledging Activision being a crappy company

Raghead-Hadji: Saints Row writer Steve Jaros was a fan of Vampire: The Masquerade, and paid homage to it in SR3: The "Smiling Jack's" diner is where a number of quests start off. The least I could do was include a couple of minor nods back to him in return. I chose to do so with Saints Flow. Small physics objects are hardly on par with a full diner.

Activision wasn't involved with the creation of Half-Life. It was created by Valve. So I'm not sure why including a fake Half-Life poster is supposed to have anything to do with Activision, let alone represent some sort of slap in the face. I have nothing but respect for the Troika team.

My mistake VonAether.  My apologies.  I was under the assumption that Activision was involved partially in the production/funding process of Half-Life 2, favored it over Bloodlines and forced the early release of the unfinished product.  I went back and did my research and found as you stated that they were not.  Activision still sucks for what they did though. :) Thanks for correcting me.

Anyone knows if the latest version of the Unofficial Patch is still compatible with the most recent X20 Mod?

Caine59: X20 Basic should remain compatible with just about any mod you want to use it with. The description of the X20 Plus download will specify which version of the Unofficial Patch it's intended to be used with.

Is there anything I'm doing wrong because I have been downloading the mod to use with the unofficial patches 10.6/10.7. But even though I extract these mods to the correct folders, I don't get those changes when the game loads up.
