Im actually editing and re-mixing some of the weapon's sounds to make their transients more powerful and adding a little bass treatment so it uses more .

I'm currently using Spearmint. It's just nice, they've covered most of flaws on Q3A since IoQuake3 (relating to Q3A original shaders for FX) and it lets you see your weapon on high resolutions, witch of course was a great inmmersion re-establisher for me.

xcsv_bq3hi-res.pk3 and pak9hqq36.pk3 are used on the screenshots so credits and cheers to their creators for some great face-lifting work on those textures for an amazing game!

So here's what I've done


Weapons:
Rocket Laucher: reworked weapon texture, explosion fx, smoke and muzzleflash. Sounds. (made use of "cg_oldrocket 0", so use it)

Machinegun: reworked muzzleflash and weapon texture. Sounds.

Lightning gun: reworked sounds.

Railgun: reworked railcore, spiral sprites and sounds. (also made use of "cg_oldrail 0")

Plasmagun: reworked projectile hit, proyectile sprite and muzzleflash. Also some sound editing.

BFG: reworked projectile sprites, explosion FX. Sound tweaked too.

Gnade laucher: reworked explosion FX and muzzleflash.

Powerups:

Just touched Quad Damage a little. The overlay sound just busted my ears so I lowered and gave it some stereo space for it to fit better. Ah and also gave some treatment to the shader texture.

Reworked the bloody part of the sprites too, so enjoy blasting those gibs away.

That's it for now! As soon as I write this I'm starting to collect all up to upload it.

Just place de .pk3 file in your baseq3 folder and play, or put inside a folder in the game directory and load through mods menu.

Thanks for using my mod files. You could have mentioned me. Unfortunately you have not changed more lines in my gfx.shader file (logo1024.tga >>> logo512.tga, detail1024.tga >>> detail.tga).

Hmm must be the sample rate, I'm using Spearmint and no problem with my custom sounds

Sorry if this seems like a noob question, but what do you mean by "using Spearmint"? Is there a way I can fix this sound issue for myself?
