World War II is a total conversion GeneralsZH with a focus on multiplayer battles in the style of the Second World War. This mod can be considered a kind of "Russian answer" to the same mod for C&C Generals: Zero Hour of german production (C&C Generals Blitzkrieg), but production with "From Russia, with love" for players. You can select one of four parties: the Allied Army (Joint contingent of U.S. and UK), USSR, Germany or Japan. Supported a multiplayer game in GOL (Generals On-Line server of revora) and LAN (Hamachi, Garena). Your units have textures changes, depending on the map, and "veterancy" (for example, we have 5 different variants camouflage and coloring Tigers!). Each faction can determine the specialty (you can choose only 1 or not at all, only 3 specialties per faction), which gives it access to certain units, upgrades and abilities.


The game has a rank system (Hallo, PoContra!), but with the our unique feature:

  • 1 rank – vehicle 39-41
  • 2 rank – vehicle 42-43
  • 3 rank – vehicle 43-44
  • 4 rank – vehicle 44-45
  • 5 rank – vehicle 45+ (idea like: "what if there wasn't a second front, and all fought 2-3 years longer?")

All features:

  • Introduced Ranking system, in which that certain buildings and units can only be built when a certain general's rank is achieved. Players get awarded for their combat efficiency.
  • A.I. is greatly enhanced (be careful, its can be really the hardest ai of generals).
  • Deep variety of gameplay tactics and strategies.
  • Wide choice of units, buildings, special powers and upgrades.
  • New graphics and sounds.
  • Each faction speaks its own language.
  • Increased stability in multiplayer games (since 0.23).
  • UI language: English / Russian. You can choose your language in launcher (since 0.23).

The most recent version 0.23 was released in September 2018. It will include:

  • New, improved balance in the game, upgrades and special abilities of units and factions
  • Support for multiplayer games via CnC Revora (Generals On-Line) server

  • Select a music pack in the game
  • Campaign for the Allies (to be included later)
  • Campaign-training (to be included later)
  • New multiplayer maps
  • New AI
  • New superweapons for all factions (to be included later)

C&C Generals World War II v. 0.26.2 Released!

After a long months of testing balance, fixing TD errors, "Out of Sync ..." and constant rewriting to work around engine problems and improve stability in multiplayer, the Generals World War II mod is finally released as an new version for you to try and we have did first test tournament!

Few details

First of all, I apologize for the delay, I have several times postponed the scheduled release date of the next update for several months, trying to bring it to the "ideal" (at least, as it looked from my point of view. It paid off, although I had to work it's pretty hard on it, but I think it was worth it in the end, thanks for your patience, well, most of you who could wait))
At the moment, the project is in a much more playable state than before, and the recent tournament has shown this.
It's been a long journey, after countless tweaks, troubleshooting, engine oddities and quirks, I and the new testing team are finally able to release something we're proud of. It took us over a year to finally hone things, make the mod more functional, and cram in as much as possible to give it a more WWII feel.

What kind of tournament is it?

To mark the release of the new version, a tournament was recently held on mod versions 0.26.1 and 0.26.2 with the support of the Russian-speaking community Generals. Nevertheless, the tournament was attended by participants not only from the CIS, so we can even call it partially international))

Generals, be careful! Unfortunately, we again had to move to a new hosting, and although the launcher can now update itself correctly, in case you still have problems, we recommend using the version from the full installer

Repeat: IF the old launcher does NOT work, please use the new updated launcher OR full-installer!

New version of full-installer was released!

We are glad to present you a new full installer for the new version 0.26!

Due to the fact that many people encounter problems installing the mod, so we decided to create a full-fledged installer for the game (pre-installed Generals ZH is not needed for complete installation). There is support for choosing the language of the installer (Caution! The installer does not change the language of the game itself!).


The parts of the game that will be added later can be obtained through our launcher. The release of the updates will be posted here in the information window launcher in our Discord & VK group.

After installing the game, be sure to launch the launcher (by default, the shortcuts that will created in the installer lead to it), it will install the game language at the first start (depending on the system language, also you can change it to another by switching the toggle switch on the main page of launcher).

Previous versions of the mod are most likely not compatible with this one (i wrote this, just becouse compartitable test is not ended now), so you will need to reinstall it using the installer.

If you have Generals ZH, you can download the launcher separately - it will install the mod files into it (more details in the FAQ, after we update it).

So how are the AI set up in this game? Playing on only medium difficulty, and unless I rush them hard out the gate, they end up producing close to 3x the units I make while barely making half the money I do.
Im not usually one to complain about these things, but when one AI is outplaying me and my two mates, all who collected double the money the AI did, Im inclined to believe that its AI 'cheating' that makes the AI so much tougher, not the AI ability.

Outside of that, its an awesome mod. Keep up the work!

You should really had to add ratte tank yet? It is my fav. Super mega tanks. But ask if you dont add ratte tank then? (Btw where or whats the changelog of v0.26)

The mod uses maps specially designed from 0 for it, or maps adapted by us from default ZeroHour.

The mod does NOT support third-party maps without adaptation, textures may not display correctly and bots will not work.
