The World of Goliath, a World born out of the imagination of a group of friends. A project that has been going on for over 5 years, and what once found its roots in NWN, finally is on the horizon for NWN2. A World that has grown, evolved, and turned out to be one of the biggest Worlds out there featuring over 140 areas of which 50 exterior areas. We all flee this earthly plane, wandering about to what is unreal, but more real than could have ever been. Every day again, our imagination draws nearer to a world of magics, imagination and power. And for you, fleers from every corner of the world, North and West, East and South, we have built this World. Let this World be your home. To all of you, wandering minds, gather and join our fire. Tell your tale, and have a drink, because once you hear and feel the crackling sound of the warm fire in Goliath, your heart will already have set up camp.

World of Goliath - Update

Dearest lads/lasses,

I would like to confirm the update has been finished, and the World of Goliath is ready for launch. It has taken us a lot of time, we know, and blood and tears have been shed, but we are proud of the result.

The latest up-to-date files (date 06-02) have been uploaded at our Moddb website. So, you can now download the files manually. Unfortunately, both our hosts 247ihost and hostsnake are down, which makes me unable to upload the latest files for WorldGate. That is why I will post-point the launch until Wednesday third of June. That way we can make sure you dispose of the latest/newest files, or have been able to update your definitions using WorldGate.

We'll be launching Wednesday at 8 PM (GMT +2). So get your asses down at our Server, and make sure you join our festivities. We will be rewarding our primary and habitual players for their continuous support and presence.

So, what has been added to WoG, or what does the update contain?

We can also confirm that everything works as intended, ensuring player experience is extendended to the max.

P.S. Files are available as of today at Moddb, WorldGate hosts will be updated tomorrow. Also, a trailer covering the World of Goliath will be released in the next couple of weeks.

How is the population on your server and other NWN2 servers? Was wondering if Neverwinter Nights 2 MP is still dead. I heard NWN never got popular until a year after it was released. It's way past that now.

Population depends on time, but since we are a rather new Persistent World, our player amount fluctuates between 10 and 5 players. As for the global amount, the amount of players is still rapidly increasing, but it takes some time. There are several servers with a great amount of players, while hundreds of servers are empty. My guess is that NWN2 is taking the same path as NWN has.

PWs was my reason for playing Neverwinter Nights, although Singleplayer has been more my thing in Neverwinter Nights 2, I still have fond memories and I will definitely login to take a look around. You've got some excellent images up here, so I'm looking forward to seeing it all in motion. Keep it up

Hey Ree,

Thank you for your kind comments. I always loved Single Player Modules as well, but missed the interaction with other players. I often found it boring NPCs could not respond with emotions, share kind words, and create a bond.

That is what we are aiming for, to create a community in which love and camaradery are the essence of this Persistent World.

Also, a quick request OmH. Is there any way that the files needed could be packaged into an easy to use installer? The world looks great and i am installing NwN2 right now so i can load the game but i am not to savvy when it comes to installing things manually ^^

Aye, perhaps it is a good idea to make an .exe file out of these stand-alone downloads. I'll see to it, and have an executable file uploaded, once figure out how to do so. Thank you for your suggestion and interest Ragod!

A self extracting zip would be better.People don't trust .exes too easily.
