What do you mean by "modern" ? It was all modern for 50-60ies, now all these stuff is quiet old, not to mention all the uniforms are different.
modern for that period i mean. like a fictional cold war of some sort during those tense years.
Technically speaking, wars fought in the 21s century can be called modern warfare.
Even WW1 can be called a modern war. So the term modern war is applicable to WW1, Spanish Civil War, Finland and Russian War, WW2, Korean War, etc.

honestly with this mod in mind, i was thinking of not well known modern conflicts such as the brief conflict with China and Vietnam just after the Vietnam War or the Chinese and Russian border disputes and even the Cuban Missile Crisis. lots of ideas from this mod thanks to the wiw team.
Ooh! You got Uncle Wiki to back you up! :-) Anyways, don't forget the "what if" scenarios regarding the aforementioned topics you suggested that could be based on this mod.
