"What Remains" is a Fallout1/2 total conversion based on the FOnline Engine, using assets of Fallout 1/2. It is a singleplayer game and rather focusses on more linear, deep storytelling, then an open sandbox world. The game will take place in the area of the Great Lakes in the postapocalyptical USA, the years which passed after the great war can be counted on a few hands and toes, so one can assume not much time passed since then. It will be a big part of the game to just survive, try to come by, to be part of this harsh world.
Another look we are holding upon the woods of the game - who is chasing the trapper girl - some raiders, or even the player party? :)
Very nice detail.
Oh wow, didnt know you could do this much detail in such an old engine.
It's not Fallout engine, it's FOnline engine (new, better).
Do you make it like BG/ID big image of map or all object is paste in mapper?
Both, kinda. :) I first edit the rendered objects in photoshop to get a general feel of how I want the map to look like, then I export every single layer (trees, objects etc) in single .png files and export them into the mapper as seperate objects.
The ground tiles I just export the entire picture like seen on the picture, no need to cut it down to hundreds of smaller tiles. ;)
Oh, so only ground is one big image. I think its possible make BG with fonline engine so that could be nice to play multiplayer. Anyway, when could we see a gameplay? I want to see all these locations in movie presentation.
I am not sure why you'd want to port Baldur's Gate (a game relying on a completely different ruleset and gamesystem) that HAS already a multiplayermode to the FOnline engine? ;)
