From the depths a light shall rise, a star of hope for all the World. As a darkness gathers, it shall stand mighty as the blade, and be the shield that shelters as well as the spear that drives to the heart of evil. Yet, as this light will shine, darkness will slither like a tendril of hate, like a fatal disease, and the star will be its slave. Alas, this is the fate of all things, yet most beautiful cruelty is in the fall of Numenor. This mod will bring you back to the Second Age, before the War of the Ring, when the Dark Lord Sauron sought to corrupt and destroy the hearts of Men which lay bound to the fate of Westernesse and both scatter the loyal Dunedain as well as bending to his will those with weaker hearts or demeanour. With an all-new campaign, two new factions, a specialised purpose-built Living Map for use in the War of the Ring mode, plus new maps to battle over, this truly expansive mod will reinvigorate your Battle for Middle-earth experience like never before!

I thought it was about time I made some activity around here, so ask your questions, whatever they may be, about Westernesse, or if you wish to, about me or Eris Harlowe. As long as it doesn't require me to tell you when the mod will be released, I'll do my best to answer it as best as I am able.
So, ask away!

Hum, maybe i missed it but how many factions will this mod have?

Other thoughts:

Any idea what you will do as for battalion size?

Will we be dealing with large armies or the normal size that stands to be about twenty to thirty battalions? I have seen some mods increase command limit to get a much larger battle rolling.

You mentioned above in a reply that there would be cities and such in some maps. Any ideas on how a player may interact with the city or is it primarily going to be for looks or something to destroy like in the original BFME?

Any plans naval wise? Like the types of ships some of these factions will use and such?

And lastly, In the normal BFME2, the Inn or whatever it is building that allows you to get a unique unit, will those be included and can we expect rare units from them that further expand on your options in building your army?

Well. Four factions: Black Numenoreans, Dunedain, Mordor and Elves.

And as for battalion sizes, I'm attempting in general to keep Westernesse as close to an expansion as possible, by keeping core elements the same. Hence, I'm not planning on expanding horde sizes.

Again, cities will be primarily eye-candy, as with vanilla BFME. Of course, each will be unique and have certain region-specific attributes which give it an advantage, but nothing too major.

The navies, however, will be significantly expanded given the factions focus on water travel, but there are no definite plans yet.

And lastly, yes, but these will come in development later than the principle factions.
