This mod changes the weapons and gameplay in Doom 4 (2016).
The weapons have more accuracy and damage. Enemies does not dropping the health and ammo when killed. Removed a "glory kills" (killing the enemies by hands). And more...(see description for details).

Weapons

  • Shotgun:
    • Reduced spread;
  • Double shotgun:
    • Reduced spread;
    • At aiming mode the spread does not changes;
    • A damage is twice more than single shotgun;
  • Plasma rifle:
    • Increased damage (but it still less than heavy rifle);
  • Heavy rifle:
    • Reduced spread at normal and aiming modes;
  • Chaingun:
    • Reduced spread;
    • Reduced a spinning up time, after upgrading the spinning up time will be more reduced;
    • The damage is same as heavy rifle (in vanilla the chaingun damage 2 times less than heavy rifle);
  • Gauss cannon:
    • At sniper mode a damage is same as at normal mode (in vanilla the sniper mode gives more than 2 times less damage than normal mode);
  • Rocket launcher:
    • A damage from triple rocket shoot at auto-aiming mode is equal to damage of three single rocket shoots. A flash from triple rocket explode is 3 times powerful than flash from single rocket explode;
  • Increased the max ammo count which player can carry. Increased the ammo count which corresponding upgrade gives to player.

Gameplay

  • Enemies does not dropping the health and ammo when killed;
  • Player can take a "siphon grenade" in first game map near the "Gore nest". The "siphon grenade" is more effective than at vanilla game;
  • Removed a red glow screen covering when player have small health amount;
  • Removed a "glory kills" (killing the enemies by hands). Also removed a "glory kills" tutorial which appears in first game map;
  • Removed a player fist punching the upgrading bot when upgrading weapons.

This mod doesn't work. I get "A critical error(code5) has occurred. Program halted" - Devastated, as this mod would redeem the game for me, and appears to be the only one of its kind.

would this be compatable with Keep the Dead? I love this game, but the shotgun spread is a big problem i have w/ it, along with the disappearing bodies

Nice work. Just beat the vanilla game a week ago. Started over with this mod and I'm having more fun with the game than I did the first time.

Is it supposed to take 2-3 shots to kill an imp with combat shotgun on nightmare?
In your first video you instagibbed the first imp, but in my game I have to shoot it twice to kill. And everything seems to be extremely tanky.

You need to better aiming, then you can kill the imp in one shot ;)
And there is no nightmare mode in that video.

This mod makes many improvements but it ruins the chaingun by making it WAY overpowered, it just obliterates enemies in seconds even Barons. The damage per shot needs to be drastically lowered. The Precision shot mode for the Gauss Cannon is also ridiculous, one-shotting everything. I highly suggest changing these. The plasma rifle is still useless (low velocity rounds / superseded by Gauss canon), and the RPG still underpowered.

I was wondering actually if you could teach me how to mod this game or point me to a good tutorial, and if its possible to change enemies also, thank you.
